Interesting developments for the Ruger Tactical

I was looking at some berger 105 gr vld's for my hawkeye tactical 243. Couldn't remember what twist it came with so I went to ruger.com to figure it out. Guess what? No ruger hawkeye tactical listed in 243 anymore. Doesn't really surprise me at all since 243 & tactical go together like ketchup & white dress shirts. I was surprised they even offered the 243 in the first place. Remington only offers 223 & 308 in their tac line which is what ruger now has. I would like to have seen a 6.5mm offering but no luck.
A nice upgrade ruger has made factory for the two remaining rifle choices is a factory threaded barrel. I can't afford a suppressor right now so I'm glad mine has the regular barrel. However, that will be a nice upgrade for those so inclined to utilize suppressors.

Btw, found out my tactical 243 has a 1:9 twist barrel. I'm going to try the berger 105 gr vld's in it unless someone has a significant reason not to go that route.
