Interarms Silver Cup 1911A1

Harley, can you give me any info on the Interarms Silver Cup 1911A1 .45acp SC44XX. It has a Remington Rand upper and was bought in the late 70's. It's a good shooter and I was wondering if it's worth putting any money into (refinishing, trick parts, etc).

Thanks.

I don't have any info on that gun. My Opinion: If it is an Interarms, and it is a good shooter, Match? it may be worth the effort.

Match? Don't know.
I'm not going to sink a lot of money in it. I just go to the range for practice, as long as I'm hitting where I'm aiming most of the time at 25/50 yds. and it takes all the different ammo I throw at it, it's a good shooter!

I had asked the same question over on the 1911 forum and they weren't familiar with it either, thought that it was kinda' odd to have a Remington Rand upper on it.

The Remington slide is probably a replacement from an older gun. I would't have used it, but then I don't own the gun. Could have just been a parts gun to begin with.
