I have a Mini-14 ranchand bought a Tasco red dot scope. I needed a weaver-style mount so I got a Weigand mount for the mini. Anyone installed one of these???
I installed one on a Ranch rifle. The Weigand base attaches to the Ruger mount cutouts with 4 washers and screws (you'll have to remove the rear peep sight). I use it with a Leupold-Gilmore red dot sight. Works fine.
