Installation of Wolff trigger return spring???

Is it easy to install a Wolff trigger return spring in a GP 100?

I know how to install the main spring. How do you install the trigger return spring though?

I'm asking cause I just ordered the Wolff GP 100 "shooters pak", which has several springs in it, including main springs and trigger return springs.

Remove the trigger assembly. Push in on the latch that locks the assembly to the frame. While it's depressed use a small punch (or other suitable tool) to remove the cross pin. When the pin is removed the spring will release. Replace the factory spring with the one from the kit, assembly is the reverse of disassembly and there ya go!
Any problems e-mail me

^Thank you for the helpful reply. Do you (or anyone else) have links to diagrams so that I can visually get an idea of the parts to play with? I'm really not that bright with written directions, but once I see a diagram combined with written directions I pick up quickly.

Gunparts Corp used to have diagrams on their website, they're for sale now.
Maybe this will do though.

once you get the trigger group out, it's pretty well a done deal. the spring isn't under any pressure and you just push out the retaining pin and replace

Hey CZ. You got some good direction. Once you get the trigger group out it will be pretty evident to you.I just did this two weeks ago. First I just changed the main spring and it dropped the trigger pull to 5 1/2 lbs. When I changed the trigger return spring it took it down to almost 3 lbs! It's pretty sweet now.

I assume you are referring to the SA trigger when you say 3-5 lbs? I would not want the DA trigger that light (I think DA trigger is ideal at 8-10 lbs). A 3-5 lb SA trigger is sure nice though.

I know changing the mainspring reduces DA trigger pull, but what does changing the trigger return spring do? Does that spring affect SA trigger?

BTW, I ordered the Shooters Pak kits yesterday, how long does it take Wolff to delivery them with their standard shipping method?

It'll affect both somewhat. One word of caution: I experienced light strikes when using CCI primers, Win. primers have never failed to fire. Never shot any factory ammo through it.
If memory serves me right, both times I ordered from Wolff the shipments were pretty quick in arriving.

ordered mine from Dillon and they are customarily quick. Because CCIprimers are tough, I used the heavy mainspring. Used the 10 lb trigger return because this was a new revover. My 4" had already slicked itself up very well and the 8 pound return worked fine in it. As a consequence, my 4" is just about as offhand -accurate as the 6.

as a matter of fact the GPs are very usable with the original springs inside.

Quick question guys. CCI primers are only used in Speer/CCI factory ammo right? If I use factory ammo of other makers, its not CCI primers, I hope? I'm not a reloader, so I'll be shooting factory ammo.
