Inquiry RE: Kahn brand shotguns

A friend is looking at a Kahn O/U shotgun and has asked me to do a little research before he commits to purchase.

I did a few searches here at TFL about the Kahn brand name and really turned up more "Ghengis Kahn" threads than anything about the shotgun.

I'd appreciate any input you have from experience or maybe just things you've heard through the grapevine about this brand (i.e. quality..etc).

I THINK that they're Turkish. I've seen one or two, but never paid them much attention.
 
They are Turkish. I'm unfamiliar with Turkish gun makers which is why I'm posting the questions above.

I am however familiar with Capt. Kirk which is why I did not post questions about him. :p
 
Are you certain it is Kahn and De Haan?
De Haan is an importer of Turkish guns.
I have a Huglu from Turkey and am very proud of it.
It has old European styling, hand engraving and appears to be of fine quality.
The only thing it is lacking is marketing and a recognizable name.
Check with me in 20 years and I'll let you know how it is holding up.
 
It's distributed by "CAI, Georgia, VT" It might be "CAL" (in lieu of CAI)

It's an Kahn Arthemis Model 12.

Welp, he purchased the Kahn. We were at the range all day today.

After shooting all sorts of long guns today, we went to the trap range and started in on some clays.

I took my Benelli, he took his Kahn. I shot his Kahn a few times and I thought it pointed well, had a nice LOP and honestly, is a nice looking shotgun. I was 5/5 with it but I do have one complaint. The rib could be a little higher. I found I had to put my cheek a little farther back on the stock (as to be lower) compared to my Benelli which has a raised rib.

Sharp gun, works well (bought it used) and he also got a deal at $299. Not bad for an O/U.

I'm still holding out for a Browning but I don't think my girlfriend is going to let that happen for a good,...long,...time. My bank account is also being a little less than cooperative.
