Inox??????

What does INOX mean??? I see it often here and haven't been able to figure it out.

It is the stainless finish on the Beretta 92FS. I forget exactly what it means, but I am sure someone will post its exact definition soon.

Its an Italian term for Inoxidizable (or "stainless") steel.

Bead-blasted stainless steel.

Stainless. Abbr. of "inoxidable" (in French).

...commonly seen on stainless cutlery. And inoxidable means "that does not oxide" (ie rust). You'll see it commonly stamped on cutlery.

Spanish and Italian are similiar. Since I know a smattering of Spanish, I'll defer there.

The word for stainless steel in Spanish is literally translated to be non-oxidizing steel or

inoxidable
