Browning serial B11819.

Diamond shape then BP after it.
Some rust. Needs cleaned and lubed.
Very heavy.

I hope the pics help identify it. I am not having any success identifying it on the Browning web sight. Nothing matches the serial number with the B11819.

What do you guys think it is worth before and maybe after repairs.

IMHO, by what I see and if it works, it's a $250 gun. Throw away and Blue Book prices. It would cost more to rehab the gun than what it's worth. There are a ton of them on the market...

With the serial number on the side of the reciever makes this one a WWII gun. It was made by Remington under license from Browning. The FN factories were producing war materials for the Germans at that time.

Check on some of the Remington web sites there should be some information for you.

Agree with Slugo. He might even be generous with its value. Although, it is an A5 and if it works it has to bottom out somewhere in the price market.

Browning still sell parts for these old guns and has a schematic and parts list with prices on their web site. Buy parts directly from Browning since others vendors seem to have significantly higher prices for the same parts.

The Browning web site will also help you date your gun. Your serial number indicates your gun was made by Remington between the years 1940 to 1946. The letter B in the serial number indicates it is a 12 gauge. (the war years when Browning was unable to acquire guns from F.N.)

In that condition ...honestly, its just a parts gun .../ you'd be lucky to get
$ 100 for it in my area ...

There are lots of them around ...and the Auto 5 's are not that popular, even in great condition, although they do have a dedicated loyal following ...it just isn't a high percentage of shooters that want one.
