I recently bought a Winchester Ranger model 120 shotgun serial : L1396356 in pretty good condition.
- Could anyone tell me manufacture year ?
- Anyone having owner manual for this gun and ready to send me a copy ?

Thanks for answers :)

I tried Winchester-gun site, but they only provide help and infos for the continental US (I live in Belgium).

So any further help would be appreciated :(

i dont know you might try local gun stores they might give you a idea of when it was made that is if they sell US made guns..

Unfortunately, guns stores in Belgium are more rare than a French restaurant in Death Valley ! The 2 shops I went to can't help.

So I repeat my help demand, anyone having owner manual of this shotgun ready to help. Sure I'll pay for copies and mailing.

Thanks.

Christian,
Try posting down in Harley Nolden's forum here on TFL. The guys there are very helpful and someone could probably e-mail you a copy of the assembly/disassembly instructions at the least.
By the way, welcome to The Firing Line

Dear Christian:

According to my contact at Winchester, the Ranger Model 120 marketed in Belgium is equivalent to the U.S. Model 1200, with the exception that yours has a hardwood stock whereas the U.S. models are stocked in walnut. Your particular shotgun was manufactured in 1982 (per the Serial Number).

You should be able to obtain an Owner's Manual from the Browining & Winchester Firearms office in Belgium (check the Internet for location and contact information).

Hope this helps.

Good luck, and good shooting!

Bergie, Hunter TRW,

Many thanks for your help. I finally got all I needed.
Harley Nolden send me .jpg of complete disassembly ... a one hour service mail. This guy is great !
He also confirmed that model 120 = model 1200 and was a cheaper version for export. Thanks for the manufacture year ... save me of many troubles under weapons laws in Belgium ! Lucky you are in the states !

Shoot safe !
