information on shotgun

I have a customer who has a Meridan 12 ga double barrel shotgun with side hammers. On the barrel it only says made in Meridan Conn. Any information would be helpful. I can't find it in any of the books that I have.:)
 
There are Two Meriden companies listed, Meriden Fire Arms Co and Meriden Manufacturing Company. The Meriden mfg Co was established by Carles Parker In Meriden Connecticut in 1865, however (Note) Meriden Fire Arms Co should not be confused with Meriden Mfg Co the makers of Parker Bros shotguns.
