Info, please - Israeli BUL .45

Does anyone here have experience with or
info on these guns? To be specific, I'm looking
at the compact polymer .45 w/ 3.6" barrel, as
shown on page 2 of the latest CDNN catalog.

My brother-in-law & I had both been looking at
the Taurus PT145 until I started reading about the
grips cracking. This ad for the BUL compact
caught my eye, but I have never read anything
about them. Are they any good?
Thanks, as always, for your help!

Same thing as a Charels Daly DDA.
Do a TFL search on that and you will have comments about the same gun with a different name stamped in.

I bought the full size version from SOG around the first of the year...VERY accurate .45 however the slide started to lock open with ammo still in the mag...my buddy tweaked the slide stop spring and that helped quite a bit...it only locked open once every 3 or four mags instead of everytime. Since then I have traded it for the same friends Star m45...he replaced the SS spring with one from a CZ (same design?) and it works like a charm for him...I always wanted his Star and he wanted to trade...we're both happy...for $279.00 you can't beat it...even if you have to do a little "tweaking" to get it right;)
Tony.

I ordered the compact Charles Daly DDA from CDNN. When I got it, I couldn't believe it was a 3.5" barrel gun. The thing seemed way too large for a compact. I sent it back, and got a Glock 36.

It isn't that huge! Its extremely ergonomic(at least for me) but alas i haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.If you get one, bring in an extra mag from CDNN.

Oak'58, I have the pistol that pointblank2k is refering to. The gun is accurate and very reliable now that I fixed the slide lock problem. The gun is based on the cz clone of some sorts that it can be cocked and locked or shot double action first shot. For $279 they are a good .45. By the way the mags with the extended baseplates are a lot more comfortable than the compact mags with the shorter baseplate, I have both. I have an article on my computer from handguns magazine if you are interested. Mark

Tropical Z- try carrying a Taurus PT-145. Light, small, high capacity. Unfortunately, they fall apart, and the company's refusal to acknowledge that and issue a recall, make it unacceptable.
