I was hoping that someone could tell me the approximate year(s) that the Marlin 782 rifle was made. It is a bolt action, clip-fed .22 magnum. It was owned by my grandfather until he passed away a few years ago. It was recently given to me. I tried to find some info on Marlin's web site, but they did not seem to have any historical information on this rifle. I can remember my grandfather and myself varmit hunting with it back in the late 70's and early 80's. I'm not sure when he actually purchased it.
Any websites or information on this rifle would be appreciated!

That’s all I can do… I only have two Marlins as of now Model 60 and an 1895G I love them both.

Thanks for the info! I took the 782 out to the range to fire it a few times. It shoots like it was brand new. It was well-taken care of.
