Hi, I'd like to get in contact with Bill Davis to verify a gun he was supposed to have built. Anyone know how to contact him?

AFAIK, Bill Davis passed away. He had several other gunsmiths building guns in his shop, and I believe they sometimes initialed the frames where the model # is stamped. If you PM me, I can send you contact info for a member of another forum who used to hang out in Davis' shop quite a bit, and may know someone to contact or may be able to help you directly with identification.

Mr. Borland, when did Bill pass away? I saw him a 2-3 years ago at the SHOT Show, in fact ran into him several times as we were staying at the same hotel.

I believe that Bill Davis the gunsmith and movie armorer is still alive and kicking.
Bill Davis, ballistician and former contributing editor to American Rifleman magazine, died in 2009 or 2010.
