I want to purchase a Beretta 92f 9mm with the 96
conversion to 40 cal is this a good option to buy? does anyone have any information on this gun, I think I read it might have a jamming problem with the 40 cal.

Well, i heard that if you can get the conversion kit now, it's a great deal. You're basically getting two guns for the price of one, and I believe Beretta will be discontinuing manufacturing of the conversion "kit" due to low sales. But if it's a Beretta, ya can't go wrong!!!

I have a 96/92 Combo set. The frame, 9mm barrel/slide, and .40 barrel/slide are all specially marked "Combo."

This set is a quality product, and the 9mm mag that came with mine is even a hi-cap. Also included is a special, larger case to accommodate the extra barrel/slide and magazine. In sum, I'm glad to have it.

How do you like the way the 40cal shoots, I got to shoot a friends 92 and loved it. I am curious how well the 40cal shoots.

I am almost positive that there is not an upgrade for this gun. Call Beretta customer
service at 1 800 636-3420 and ask.

sryan--

My .40 groups about 2 inches and exactly on point of aim at 25 feet. I have a test target at home, shot offhand, containing 7 shots grouped within an inch and 3 other shots that enlarge the group to 2 inches. Not Olympic accuracy but good enough for me.

Anyway, to me, the .40 is comparable to the 9mm, allowing for the difference in recoil.

Whoa! Conversion to .40! My dream come true! How much? Where can I get it? I'm gonna go look for one right now... They are manufactured by Beretta right?

Beretta Boy
Just bought one, but have to wait ten days,Man it's going to be a long ten days. :(
This gun is called a 96/92 combo pistol kit
and it is hard to find right now, Beretta has discontinued it.If you call around enough you might get lucky.

oh.... Well, I already have a 92FS, so I just want a conversion kit.. Sounds like you bought a whole pistol with it... Do they sell them alone? Does anyone know? If so, please let me know where... tax returns should be on their way soon hehehe =)
