Info needed on 10MM Colt Double Eagle

I just purchased a 10MM Colt Double Eagle. It fits my hand, has a smooth and light DA and SA, and has a very tight fit. Why aren't the Double Eagles more popular? Please give me the dirt, plus any positive comments you may have. Also, should I replace the stock 16# double recoil spring with a heavier single spring? The 16# spring seems too light for full power 10MM. Thanks for your help.
 
My understanding is that the Double Eagle has a relatively weak, or fragile, double action mechanism. I would get two new recoil springs, one @ 18lbs and one @ 20lbs. That would allow you to match your favorite load to the best weight recoil spring.
