I'm ready to push the "buy" button on a new 92 FS from Bud's but just wondering, what does the JS92F300M, ahead of the 92 FS mean in the description? I want the first one listed in the Beretta section, the Italian 92FS, but just wanting to be sure I'm getting the basic Italian 92FS--- I just have a thing for the Beretta's ----next will be the CZ75B, but right now it's all about the Beretta ---- John

Googling JS92F300M seems to indicate that is the model made in Italy.
I just bought one myself it's made in the USA though, sweet pistol.

On Bud's website that specific number brings up the Italian version, but it says Beretta USA as the manufacturer. I have the M9 version and the only difference I can see in the description is the sights. Regardless, I enjoy shooting mine and I'm sure you will too. Good Luck!

Do they have a visual of the left side of the slide? My 92FS Inox states Made in Italy. It also has stamped below this, BERETTA USA Corp. ACKK MD. It was purchased new in Jan. 2010.

Good fortune with your purchase. It is a wonderful pistol.

Thanks all, I've been wanting one for awhile now and this will be a keeper---I've always liked the open slide look, only problem is the slide can't be racked without a firm hold on the rear portion---I just recently sold a Taurus copy because the safety is on the frame rather than the slide and if your left hand is a little weak from a long ago car crash, the ambidextrious safety on the slide of the Beretta is far easier to get a grip on --- John

I've read a number of threads comparing the two, the Italian made and the US made and most have stated the American made is pretty much the same, good fit and finish and as dependable as the original so that's fine with me--- I didn't really think the actual Italian made gun would be better, just thought it would be cool to have one that's stamped, "made in Italy"--- John
