Anybody here have any experience with the Sig P239 in .357 ? How does it compare with the bigger Sig's ? Is it reliable ? Any info will be appreciated.

I don't have a lot of rounds through my P239 .40, but it's been accurate and reliable. I haven't shot one in .357Sig, but I'd expect it to have SIGNIFICANTLY more muzzle flash and muzzle blast.

Had one, no complaints but I prefer the P229 as a platform. The P239 in .357 Sig is loud and produces a pretty good muzzle flash but it's still a good gun.
Installed Hogue MonoGrips. Shootability, (if that's a word), was greatly improved. Eventually traded mine but have only good things to say about it.

I have a P239 in .357 SIG that I plan to use as my carry gun. So far I have about 300 rounds through it and definetely haven't noticed significant muzzle flash. I honestly don't notice a big difference in recoil or noise as compared to a typical .40 either. It is possibly slightly louder and snappier, but not by much. Personally, I love the .357SIG - you get the performance of a .357 Magnum with A LOT less recoil and noise, plus you get the inherent feeding reliability that comes from the bottle neck design. As far as I'm concerned, anything that can make a carry/self-defense gun more reliable is a big benefit.

The 239 is a great accurate little gun. Mine never failed me. Its my second faviorate 357 sig on the market for ccw next to the glock 33.

The 357 sig hits as hard as the 357 mag with the recoil of a 40 sw. Its reliable, amazingly accurate and an overall great round. Compared to a 9mm its more powerfull, compared to a 40 sw its more accurate and just as good a stopper, compared to a 45 acp it fits in a smaller gun with simular stopping power.
I put the 40,45 acp and 357 sig all in the same ball park for stopping power with the 9mm in a close runner up position.
