I have about had it with those Gun Owners and so called RKBA advocates that bash and eat their own! You who do this are the EXACT reason why this is a fight! We have to fight becuase you pieces of dung can't get it through your simple little minds that if we are divided that we will surely fall!

Everytime one of you attacks a fellow gun owning or hunting brother you move us back a step and move the Anti's forward.

We have the best possible voice in Ted Nugent. His celeb status helps to get our message heard. Who else is there? Heston? That's it folks. The Anti's have all their pussy whipped, limp wristed Hollywood types on their side. So, do you thank Ted Nugent for the countless hours he dedicates every single day to getting our views heard and onto the national airwaves?

NO. You pieces of human waste tear him down because he wasn't able to get his points across better because that ANTI constantly talked over Ted OR because he wore a camo shirt? ARE YOU F'ING NUTS?

You people who do this make me sick. You are WORSE than the anti's. At least we see them and know they are coming. You sit quietly, do nothing to advance our agenda to promote our rights and then when we have a national spokesperson like Ted Nugent attempt to show the truth you spit on him. WELL F YOU! ALL YOU WHO DO THIS CAN KISS MY A**!

You self-loathing scum will be the end to our rights. You will help to insure that our hunting and gun rights will be taken away. WHERE will you be then? In a corner wonder what happened? You who do this are the same folks who want to keep your guns but do nothing to fight for them.

I pose these questions to you. What have you done lately to help secure OUR rights? When was the last time you called or wrote any of your representatives about pending legislation? What WAS the last thing you did? Join the NRA but complain that you didn't get your Free hat? Join the NRA and say "I did my part"? YOU MAKE ME SICK! Turn in your membership, your guns and go to the other side you damn traitors!

Well, I for one can stand here and hold my head up high knowing that I do something to protect OUR rights (not just MY rights but yours too) on a daily basis. I even wrote letters last night to my representastives about AB273 in California, even after being taken to the hospital and spending half the day there! What have you done? Other than slam and tear down Ted Nugent?

We can't be defeated if we are UNITED. We have the truth on our side! But those of you who divide us will surely be the ones who bring us down!

Mike , we need more like you and less like them! I dont blame you for being mad as I also find these types distastefull.

Best of luck fighting the good fight!
If we dont do it, who will ???

The second Ammendment is near dead from
being attacked by enemies domestic and these
types, instead of helping to protect and defend the second ammendment, are reling on the Second A to protect their rights; while the Sec A is sick in the hospital and needs their help instead.

Dont pull their wieght joy riders.
gurrr!!

VOTE BUSH IN NOV OR TURN IN YOUR GUNS.

easy choice.

Dont vote and Gore Gets Your Guns.

Think it wont happen here; AAANNNTTT;
DEAD WRONG and nothing to do about it to fix it after it occurs. No More Second Chances;
Get It Right This Time or die trying.

The gun culture will not survive 8 years of
literal( in both senses) Gore.

You can scream about devisiveness all you want, but the facts are the facts - there are good and bad ways to present your case and believe it or not, how you look has bearing on that.

This is the real world - get past the "everyone should be blind" schtick and wake up and smell the coffee - image helps sell! It's in every industry, including public relations. This is a no brainer, guy.

Hell, you don't even have to look hard at this - 1994 Crime Bill is a perfect example. Based on looks, not function. And guess what? It passed, because people judge on looks!

I'm all for Ted getting out there and arguing our case - he's an incredible orator. But let's be realistic - getting out there in a Polo and jeans would be a hell of a lot more effective than cammies. Presentation is half of the meal.

SPARK! Funny how all you responded to was the clothing issue. You really think that the anti's would concede their positions if Ted had worn a tie? You are exactly the loser I was speaking of previously.

Where is your praise for all that Ted does? Where are you everyday sir?

I happen to be a very educated individual who has worked in the business community for many years. And you are right, what people see makes a difference. What Ted wore brought attention to him. He didn't look like "just another guy in a suit".

There are many facets to marketing and advertising and I can guarantee sir that I have a better understanding and comprehension as to what "plays" and doesn't "play" in the realm of effective marketing.

Have a nice day.

Ted Nugent IS Ted Nugent. What you see is what you get. I too am sick and tired of the politically correct "hoops" we all have to jump through. What's Ted's carry permit? The Friggin' Constitution. It may sound crude, but it's true. I am a big fan of the Nuge. If he wants to show up in Camos, let him. I certainly don't see anyone here standing as vocally for the 2nd Amendment as Ted is. He may be unrefined, but he is true to his heart. If we all did as much as Ted is for the 2nd Amendment, we wouldn't be in the state we're in today. Get off your butt and start fighting for your rights. If you can do better, do it. If you can't, don't criticize those who have a different style than yours. At least he's trying to save your rights. What are YOU going to do?

FLAMES????

OH you mean the truth? I am sorry, does the truth hurt thee? It is time for all us gun owners to unite and stop dividing ourselves. We are making it eady for the Anti's. They are letting us eat eachother alive and they will be there to enforce their silly ideals.

DON"T LET IT HAPPEN

Too funny MikeW

You speak all this wonderfully flowery talk about how "We shouldn't be divided" and how you know so much, but you seem to be oblivious to the facts.

Maybe you'll understand it something like this - Would you wear cammies to an interview for an electrical engineering job? Hell no! Would you wear cammies to court? Would you wear them to meet your girlfriend's parents?

Like it or not, we have to sell our case to the public. You can either wake up and smell the roses, or sit back and rant and rave about it's everyone else's fault but the facts don't change.

If you know anything about advertising or even have any common sense you'd see the folly of your argument.

I'm not denigrating Ted. I think he's a great speaker. But geez...

Mike, understand that you're the only one talking about antis "conceding their positions" based on clothing or anything else. The rest of us are talking about the effect on fence-sitters. The fence-sitters are the ones we MUST sway to our side, because the die-hard antis are not going to change, for the most part, for any reason.

No one "tore down" Ted Nugent in the thread I read. Maybe I missed it. In the thread I saw, people commented that they thought his choice of dress was a bad idea. No one called him, for instance, a "piece of dung" or a "piece of human waste." You were the one who brought those terms into the discussion. How dare you cast stones about being divisive? Criticizing someone's choice of clothing is a long way from "cannibal" behavior and you ought to know it. Can you give one good reason why it was a GOOD idea to appear on national TV and try to sway fence sitters while decked out in cammies?

I hang out around the house in an old black t-shirt full of holes. Doesn't mean I'd wear it to debate a professional on national TV.

We are not trying to covert the choir,
we are trying to get new people to accept the religion's right to exist.

We need the soccer moms to accept our rights.
We need the uninformed to listen.
We need them to hear the facts.

People judge you on how you look and decide not to listen before you even speak.

i know, i was a hard core punk back in the 80's

:)

Ted Nugent is a aggressive non conformist alpha male, that gets press.

I just wish he didn't cost 10K bucks to have him show up at a RKBA rally

quote:
I have about had it with those Gun Owners and so called RKBA advocates that bash and eat their own![/quote]

I assume you're including yourself in that category -- or were you using "A**HOLES", "pieces of dung", "scum" and "traitors" as terms of endearment?

Also, being the "very educated individual" that you are, you can express yourself without spewing obscenities, can't you? Clean up your language and you'll be taken more seriously.

Actually DZ, you are half correct. We do need to reach out to the masses each and every day. We also need to preach to the choir. There are too many gun owners out their who are doing nothing to stop the antis. Look closely at election results, then consider the number of gun owners in America. If every person who owns a gun did nothing more than vote, we would never see another gun control law. This is especially true in the "proposition" states. Gun owners, and especially, hunters loose there rights at the voting booth frequently. There's some new anti proposition on damn near every ballot. If we all made the time to go vote, we'd wipe this nonsense off the map once and for all. Yes, the choir needs to be preached to, because they're sleeping in the pews.

Mike,
This is not the type of discussion I desire to get into. However, I am saddened by your lack of self control. Anyone who has a CCW needs to be able to exercise more restraint than you did in your post. I don't know anything about Ted Nugent, but there is something to the argument about a respectable appearance. Have you ever noticed that the anti hunting types always zero in on the worst looking, beer guzzling hunter in the woods? The average person does make some judgement regarding one's appearance. I do. We don't have to wear a suit every time we appear, but it is unrealistic to think that we can go around unshaven and dressed in camo clothing and not put forth the wrong message to some who are on the fence. I don't know whether Ted was clean shaven or not I am just stressing that appearance is important. Your language isn't the type that provides one with confidence in your ability to exercise the type of self control we expect from gun owners . Regards, Jerry

There are ways to make a valid point.

Referring to the choir as 'pieces of dung', bodily parts and so on, is not one of the ways of making said point.

This thread is closed.

If you can make your point without vulgarity, obscenity, profanity or other base insults feel free to start another thread.
