Inf. on Reising M50 SMG

NEED INFORMATION:

A disassembled Reising SMG has been legally surrendered to a local police department where my son is an officer. They left him the pieces and asked if he could put it back together.

He phoned me and asked about the job. I've never had a Reising apart farther than removal from stock, and that was 30+ years ago.

Anone have diagrams scanned, or a net location where I can find a manual? I can figure out a lot of firearms if I can take 'em apart and learn from that end, but have little or no idea how to put a bunch of parts together.

I'd really like to do this "Rat Now," but any time would be greatly appreciated.

I've already posted a similar msg at

http://www.machinegunbooks.com

and I double-posted on TFL at Full Auto forum.

Obliged,
Johnny

Hi, Johnny. I've got access to a reprint of a manual/information pamphlet. I'll photocopy it and send you a copy if you let me know where to mail it.
Hope this helps.
Stacey C.
PS. We've been looking for a couple of mags for the Reising in our collection, but no luck yet; does anyone know where I might be able to find some?

For Sale - a few original Reising 12 round magazines. These appear to be unused, but have old dried grease and are dirty. Price is $75 each. Please email me, or visit my website: http://www.adamsguns.com

I spent a little time at the msg board, Machinegun Books. They may have other topic areas to interest you. I understand this price is pretty steep for what many considered junk only a few years back. Twelve round mags only brought about half the price of a twenty.

Seriously-- I clearly recall then the price of two of Mr. Adams' magazines would have purchased a complete Reising M50 in NRA VG condition. This is first hand knowledge--I was one of several who turned down a dealer with two transferable guns at that price. Dont know what the eveutual price was.

Very best regards--

At one time, Reising dewats were priced at $44.95 with very few takers. People smarter than I bought them, opened them up during the amnesty, and now stand to make a small profit.
