Inexpensive brass .30 carbine ammo.

After taking the M1 out to the pits a few times this spring my ammunition supply is getting low. I've still got a 50 rd. box of American Eagles left, but that won't last more than a weekend.

I'd like to buy ammo that's a little easier on the wallet but I don't want to use steel cased because of the age of the rifle (1943 IBM).

The cheapest I've found (in gun shops) is about $30 for 50 rds which I thought is a little much considering a .30 carbine round is basically a handgun round.

Anyone know where I can find ammo thats about $.50 per round or cheaper?

Wal-Mart has Remington 50 rounds boxes for $22.97 a box, search online and you can find privi .30 ammo for about $18.00 a box and lastly CMP sells a 500 round case of agulia brass case .30 ammo for $200. Hope this helps.
