Inertia bullet puller assembly

I have dug out my old reloading stuff, oiled it, assembled it and loaded 3 bullets! Well, 1 I had to do over. Dug out the bullet puller and not a clue as to what things went where. It's a Kelectrix Inertia Bullet Puller with several washers with pieces cut out of them (collets?) and a flat piece of metal with a tapered hole running its length. The tapered hole thingy slides into a slot and through the cap that holds the collet and the bullet. Anyone know how this all goes together? TIA

Well I think you find the one washer with the slot that the case will fit into; insert the washer with the case inserted into the slot onto the mallet and than place the cap over the assembly to hold things in place. Then give the mallet a whack. The current inertia bullet design is considerably better but upon first glance may look a little confusing. But it does work well.

Back to your old type, you will find that rimless cases like .45s use the washers with the slots while rimmed cases can either use the slotted washers or ones, if there are any, with an unslotted hole in the middle. The tapered slot in the long piece of metal is intended for cases that will neither fit properly in any of the round washer types.
