Any Indiana Residents - There will be a political forum hosted by the Indiana Citizens Concerned about
Gun Violence for the state legislative candidates on:

Monday, October 2nd, at 7:00 p.m.
Butler University, Jordan Hall - Room 141

I hear from Andrew Horning's people (libertarian candidate for governor) that this will be well attended. We need a strong pro-gun voice at this forum. Please try to attend if possible. gdoan@iquest.net

Directions:

Take Meridian to 46th St, head west. After you enter the campus the street divides into 2- 1 way streets. You should get to a traffic circle(square), Jordan Hall should be on the left.

This is only based on a map of the campus on their website. Will try to verify the directions before next week.

Couldn't find anything about the Indiana Citizens Concerned about Gun Violence on the internet. Anybody know anything about them. Also is this open to the public?

Also I will be preparing my questions and facts on index cards. Be prepared, be smart, be respectful. Don't get into shouting matches, that's what the other side wants.

Personally hope to tell them "Now there's no reason to get hysterical about this, we all want to decrease gun violence, we just disagree on the methods."

Hoping I can make the forum. I'm returning from a weekend trip that Monday, but will try to plan it so we are in town with plenty of time.

Hope to see you all there.

Peace...
Keith

Boy I just drool to go to any political event. I went to see alan keyes endorse McIntosh for gov. and he also endorsed chris chocola for congress. It was in South bend and I only found out about it a day before. I am sorry guys. I also saw g. w. bush in INDY a few weeks ago.

I would love to be there if it was a little closer. If it was in south bend I WOULD BE THERE.

Just a note there is a gun show in south bend sep 30th and oct 1st at the st. jospeh county fair grounds. I wont be able to make it since its rosh hoshanah but our group has a table there to get people involved and we got some bush cheney stickers we are giving out

The libertarian candidate for the State Senate District 35 e-mailed me about this event. She has been informed that it is open to the public. I myself, however have not seen anything officially in writing. I believe most all political forums are open to the public, that's one reason the candidates do them is to get as much exposure as possible. I will post any new info I get.

KAM, the directions are much appreciated. I don't know anything about that area of town myself. I plan to be there. We need more than antis to show up.

OK guys, here's what I've found out ...

I am not sure what format will take place in this forum. It may be that the audience will submit questions to be asked, or we may be able to ask the questions directly. Of course, there is no guarantee any of our questions will be asked or answered, but I feel it is important that supporters of the Constitution, and especially supporters of the 2nd Amendment, show up for this event. We can't forget that this being is hosted by the Indiana Citizens Concerned about Gun Violence.

A map of the campus can be found at http://www.butler.edu/tour/a-o.html . There may be available parking at the Irwin Library or Clowes Hall.

Here is the info in a nutshell:

When? Monday, October 2nd, 7:00 p.m.

Where? Butler University; 4600 Sunset Avenue - Nearest main roads are N. Capital Ave. and 46th Street. Butler University is west of Capital Ave. on 46th Street. Check MapQuest for more information.

Building? Jordan Hall, Room 141 - For a map of the campus see - http://www.butler.edu/tour/a-o.html .

See ya there!
