Indiana Firearm Alternatives for Deer

I am aware of all the firearms that are legal to carry for deer. But I heard a rumor a while back and was wondering if it was true.
I heard that pistol caliber rifles will be legalized to hunt with. This would only make sense after the legalization of .410 shotgun hunting.

You mean carbines that use ammunition currently legal in pistols for hunting purposes?

Neat. Hope you're right. All the more reason to pick up that .357 lever gun I've been thinking about.
