I saw a fictional shoot out on television and wanted to get an opinion on what you think would generally happen in real life.

Good guy (actually a woman but I'm going to use that term) is in a typical roadside diner in the middle of nowhere during the day time. The good guy is there looking for clues to a co-worker's death. She has enough time to know the layout of the place and has a good idea some bad guys will probably show up. The bad guys are well trained but not quite as well trained as the good guy.

There is one front door and one side door to the diner. The bad guys show up, two go in through the front door and, at almost the same time, the other two go in through the side door. The good guy has two high capacity semi-automatic pistols with two extra magazines although I think she only fires a single pistol at a time. The bad guys each have a shotgun at the ready and also have a high capacity semi-automatic pistol.

As far as I could tell, no one was wearing body armor.

In real life, what would generally happen?

A million variables in any gunfight. Generally speaking criminals are awful marksmen. They are usually cowards who run at the first sign of armed resistance. If the bad guys are REAL bad, like mafia killers then they may have more courage but after reading some books about organized crime I doubt they would have any better skill with firearms.

Whatever the scenario the man with the best mindset usually wins.

4V1??? Good guy looses after engaging 1-2 BG 's. The diner would have no cover. Once you engage som BG's, the other BG's will engage your backside. W/o cover, she has littl to no chance.

If she can engage while moving rapidly, the small chance gets better, but that's about it.

Any outcome is possible.
1 on 2 is a loser for the good guy/ girl. 1 on 4 is a major no bueno.
Surprise is an advantage to the bad guys.
CHL is an advantage for the good guy.
Tactical shooting aficionado is a major advantage to the good guy / girl. (IDPA)
Being an active duty SOF throws it to the good guy / girl.
Any outcome is possible, what would you like?
