I've got an old model 94 in .25-35 and can't find any Hornady 117 grain round nose bullets to load for it. Would any of you guy on this site happen to have a box or two laying around that you would consider selling. It sure would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, it's appreciated. RRM

Look for cast online would be my suggestion.
Perhaps buy a box or two of new ammo locally if you can (just to have some.)
These days the way things are when it comes to components and their availability. It will be hard to find anyone willing to part with jacketed anything these days. If I had a mold for 25 cal (120 gr rd nose) No doubt I would be happy cast you some to help out. But as it is. I don't.

Or you could try me. I have a couple 25-35s that I load for so I make my own. I could sell you a hundred or so bullets from my supply. I even have several hundred of those Hornadys put away but I prefer hardcasting and using those bullets for practice.

Fell'as I want to thank each and everyone of you for replying. I will try the supply houses, but I have a feeling they will be sold out. This old 94 has a not so good bore and therefore I'm kind of leery to try cast bullets. Being afraid it will lead up bad. I don't wind this old gun up very high, try to keep the velocity around two thousand feet per second. I load 24/IMR4320 with the Hornady 117gr. BUT with that being said and having a rifle with no lead to play with I may just take you up on that offer Mr. Hartcreek. Having never cast bullets before what do you recommend for a rough bore,,, hard cast?
P.M. me if you are sure you want to do this or if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions. Once again thanks to all of you. RRM

P.M. I've always said that gun people are the best around. Always trying to help.

PMs sent but I need some more sleep. As for your bore....one mans pitting is another mans pristeen. I have an old Winchester Model 90 that had a lot of BP 22s sent through it before I bought it and to some the bore looks like a pipe but it still is a tackdriver even after all the abuse it had in its early life.

Taylorforce.....that guy is sellig a mixed lot that includes spitzers which do not work so well in a tubular magazine.......:p

Evidently Hornady suspended production of their lesser selling bullets for a time. I found another discussion at THR

So it has been a while since the bullets were produced. I looked back through my old reciepts and the jacketed bullets that I have I bought from Hornady direct. Good thing that I primarily shoot lead so my 300 jacketed bullets should last a lifetime.
