In need of a rifle identification, springfield arms 22

An acquaintance gave me this gun (attached photo) to clean-up and now
that I've broken it down I'd like to find some information on putting
it back together but I don't know what the model is.

It doesn't have a serial number, it has SPRINGFIELD ARMS COMPANY,
CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS USA stamped on the barrel and 22 SHORT LONG OR
LONG RIFLE. I've found similar looking rifles online but I can't be
sure they're the same as this one. It differs from the ones I've seen
in having a bent bolt handle, a very small and shallow cutout for the
handle and the cocking knob is different.

Thanks,

bobco

Can't be sure from the picture and the way you have the parts oriented, but my first guess is the Savage 53 single shot.
No barrel markings???

Need help on putting the bolt back together

The firing pin and the extractor are back in, hopefully correctly, and now I need to put the cocking pull back in the bolt. What is the proper way of putting the pin back in when it looks like the pin has to pass through the spring? How do I get the spring out of the way? Is the spring supposed to be compressed? When I took it apart it didn't seem to be under any pressure.

Should I post this in the smithy forum?

Thanks
