So, I'm in Louisville for a couple of days. . .What must see gun shops or sporting goods stores are there?

Knob Creek is absolutely a sight to see.

I went to law school at the University of Dayton (a little over three hours from there), and a couple buddies and I made the trip down twice to their machine gun shoots. I could not afford to shoot most of what was available to the public to shoot, but there is no place else I know of that I would have been able to see some of what we saw.

If you like the older stuff, check out Falls City Firearms in Clarksville, IN (just over the I65 bridge from downtown. Nothing but used/consignment guns and some really interesting older pieces. Worth checking out, even just to browse. The owner is a great guy, and puts bar stolls around his shop for a reason- great place to shoot the breeze. :D

Thank you for mentioning that, i live in louisville and have not heard of it.
will have to go check it out.
if only there was a shop that sold broken guns

Kentucky gun co. In bardstown has a good selection as well as orion arms in clarksville indiana. 10 min. Across the i65 bridge from downtown. Down side to orions they are high great place to window shop though plus side good selection and 5 min. From bass pro.

Not to offend anyone but i havnt been to knob creek in years. Last time i went there they had a new range officer that was an absolute prick. Never went back. That said their machine gun shoot is a blast.

I know the main RO at Knob Creek that works during the week. You wouldn't believe the amount of stupidity and hostility he has to deal with on a daily basis. He's actually very fair with people provided you actually listen to the range rules.
