Improved Rossi?

Owned a Rossi in the past. Great shooter very accurate, but a little hard in the action lever. Traded it cause the wife stopped shooting. Then the wife says she is going to shoot cowboy and needs her Rossi back to practice. Well you can forget that. It was gone. So shopped around and found a new stainless Rossi carbine. Man, is the action in this thing greatly improved. Very smooth. And just improved with each shot fired. Has Rossi straightened their problem out or is it just cause it is stainless? A new improved Rossi or just lucky?

Howdy Ned,

Was this one of the Rossis that Navy Arms is selling?? If so,then, yes, they are improved. I handled a Navy Arms 92 Short Rifle straight out of the box,and it was remarkably smooth and had good fit and finish. It sure didn't need an action job like my older Rossi did.

I second Bill's commnets. I recently bought the 1892 short rifle from Navy Arms. Would agree about the fit, finish and smooth action. Quite a fun gun!
