Woke up this morning expecting to be watching my daughter, but she wanted to go out with my wife.. so needless to say I went to the range.
Took out the 22lr, and at 25 yards put 17 shots inside of the circle on the Army's target used for zeroing the M4's. Marlin 60, 4x scope. *yawn*, piece of cake. Hadn't shot it in about 3 years though, so it was fun.
Pulled out the .223 bolt and moved only to 50 yards because the wind was ridiculous. Thought I could minimize it's affect. Considering the wind and the accuracy of my rifle/ammo , I shot an OK 3 shot group, about .80"
Noticed on my lane, someone had put 3 rocks on the 300 yard line. I had about 3"x5" visibile of them. So here goes.. 2 Kentucky windage shots and then hit 4 out of 6 times. It was pretty fun! I'm still learning how to shoot in wind. Back east a really bad day was about the same wind as a good day out here. Elevation I'm pretty comfortable with.
Have a great day everyone, just wanted to tell someone about my day at the range.
