Importing 50 BMG upper from Canada

I'm thinking about purchasing a Dominion Arms DA50 from Canadaammo.com. Shipping is $100 but I can handle that. If they were in the states this would be a piece of cake, but it's not. Anyone here tried importing a non-firearm like this before? ATF or other regs going to be a problem?

Dominion Arms is Norinco. I believe most firearm stuff from China was banned for import by Clinton in 1995.
CanadaAmmo will tell you faster than anyone if they can/will export.

I asked them and they suggested calling the ATF. It's not a serialized part so I'm not sure it matters? They did say they would be happy to ship.

Hi. I wonder in the ITAR nonsense applies to importing Stateside. No barrels can be exported without the daft permit.
