IMI Timberwolf

six 4 sure

New member
I've been looking for one of these for awhile. Does anyone know where I could find one? I'm not sure if they are still being made, but I know they haven't been imported for awhile. Been looking on the auction sites with no success.

Thanks for the help.

Neat rifle. They quit importing them about six years ago. Try looking in Gun List magazine or on Auction Arms web site. -- Kernel.

Hey six 4 sure, I've been watching the Gun Shows for one myself. Haven't seen one in a good while. "Kernel's" suggestion may just be our only recourse.

If you do go that route, be suspect of where the stock fits to the receiver. I seem to remember hearing about some of them "splitting" in this area, but that might be wrong.

Darn shame they didn't chamber it for the 357Maximum in the beginning.

I had one in .357 that I got through CDNN a decade or so ago. Worked great on rabbits with 110 grain HPs. Traded it to a buddy who promised to keep it or give me first option to buy back. It was gone in two weeks. Only problem I had was that you had to rack the slide forcefully to chamber a round. Prices have really gone up - especially for the .44 mag.

Nice rifle, the 'splitting' or looseness at the receiver could be the takedown knob is not tight. They are fast shooters.

A negative is the Weaver-type mounts milled in the receiver are not conducive to scope mount flexibility, but are OK for a red-dot.

Bought mine 4 months ago from a dealer for $275 (.357) in new condition with a dead red-dot on it. Was looking for 4 years.
