"Imbel receiver", OK that's a good start, but what's the rest of it?
Lots of different guns have been built on both gear logo & non gear logo Imbel receivers, some are excellent, some are OK, some aren't even OK depending on what parts were hung on the receiver & how well it was done
.
Price is in line with current prices for an Imbel Receiver/Imbel lower/Imbel barrel in good condition, but high for a Century built on an Imbel receiver. I suggest you check a bit further into the pedigree before dropping that kind of cash. Things like importers stamps, safety/selector markings & serial # prefixes can be a big help in this. Pictures are even better if you can take some. What accessories? They can add a lot of value, or nothing to the value of a package! The scope & mount on the one pictured are worth $500.00 alone to give you an idea of how much they can effect value. Metric mags are currently about $15.00 each.
You could have found a great rifle but a bit of research is in order so you can be sure of the rifle in my opinion. Remember the FAL is not a match rifle, sniper rifle or other kind of super accurate shooter it is a tough as nails very reliable main battle rifle. If that's the kind of rifle you're looking for it will do you well in all probability.
Here is a nice tight shooting (2 1/2" but
they average 3~ 31/2" in the real world) FAL built on a non G/L Imbel receiver. Lower is Imbel, barrel is Imbel so this is mainly an Imbel rifle, but tweaked by me with non Imbel accessories & controls. Bipod is a Q.D. type ( somewhat less common than the more normal fixed in place ones) so it can be taken off when not wanted & the scope & mount is an Argentine STANAG type mount holding a Hensoldt fero ZF24 (4x) scope, which although never issued is pretty much the "standard" scope for FALs.
