This article has Bill Nelson basically saying that he supports another AWB, as well as ban on private sale and closing the "gun show loophole". Being that his poll on his own website shows a little more than 96% of his constituents said they would not be in favor of a new AWB, it looks like he doesn't feel like representing the views of his people. I'm glad that he can reassure us that these measures would not be an attack on the second amendment, and that he is an avid hunter. What a bunch of crap.

I know that he has lost my vote for his next term. I will make sure I tell others also.
 
Disappointed how? Have you seen his voting record?

You'd have to have a reason to expect something different to be disappointed.
 
Need to recruit Congressman West to run against him. If the action starts early enough. Nelson will change his position.
 
Uncle Billy should have put in a home years ago. He was the deciding votes on several keys issues, and he went with what the liberals in S. FL and DC wanted, not what the majority of residents did

Yeah, I agree. I wrote to him, not that it will make a difference. He just got another six year reprieve. He votes 100% in lock-step with his party. He basically serves south Florida, Tampa and the Orlando area, he could care less about the rest of the state. :eek:

Sure he supports the 2nd Amendment, but also wants to ban AR/AK's -- Oxymoron and hypocrital.
 
The man is an embarassment to the State of Florida. But obviously many people like him. Expect his liberal bias as long as he is in office. His position on guns is not a surprise.

I constantly want to ask the person making this comment when the last time they went hunting was and what type of game they typically hunt and when the last time they actually took game.

When I talk to my firearm owning friends they can usually tell you the last time they were at the range and what they shot. They always can tell me when the last time they went hunting was and what they took.

Why don't we ever hear "I fully support the second Amendment. I own quite a few firearms an AR-15 Among them. I enjoy shooting them and I believe that every American has the right to own whatever firearms within the law he or she desires for whatever reason the firearms can practically be used for."?

I am sick to death of hearing about the so called "Gun Show Loophole" Will someone please tell me what this loophole is and why is it such a bad thing.
