Hi guys.
My name's Daniel. I've grown up properly around firearms, and do have 3 of my own--2 rifles and 1 shotgun. Ask details if you wish to know. Turning 21 in a couple months, my dad has decided that most likely at that time, he will be giving me my first pistol, which he has owned for a long time. And what a pistol! I'm not sure of the model, but it is an early 90's revolver. Here's the specs I know on it:
Make: Taurus
Model: UNKNOWN?? (I haven't looked on the gun, I've just shot it)
Caliber: .357 Magnum
Action: Double and Single, traditional spurred hammer
Barrel length: 6" (I think?)
Finish: Blue
Cylinder: 6 Shot
It of course accepts .38 rounds just fine. Very smooth gun, great "handcannon" hehe. The one thing that needs a little bit of work is that due to extended use (he fell in love with this gun when he first got it, and now I love it too! hehe), the hammer pin is wearing out, so the hammer has a slight bit of sideways play, making for a small nick that has worn into the back of the frame. This is a repair that should be done, but it has not been affecting how the gun shoots, at least not that we can see.
Best I can tell, Taurus doesn't make this model anymore, as I cannot find a non-ribbed, blue, 6" ***6-shot*** .357 magnum made by them.
The gun has rubber grips now, but he still has the original wood grips that came on it. Anybody know about this particular revolver?
