I'm the winning bidder on this shotgun. Is this a good deal?

I'm the winning bidder on a brand new in the box Winchester 1300 deluxe shotgun, 12 gauge, 3" chamber, 28" barrel for $180.00.
Did I get a deal? What is the going price for this?

That looks like a pretty good deal to me. Wally World sells them new for around $250, if there are any left. Prices are bound to start creeping up here sometime soon.

That is a hell of a deal. Keep it in the box and oiled since they don't make them any more and it may be a great investment. My 1300 camo turkey gun was bought right before the news of the plant closing and I'm glad I bought it. $300 on sale.

I don't think it would be a great investment as there were many millions made, but it should be a great shooter. I have a winchester 94 made 2 months or so before winchester closed shop but I still shoot it anyway. I don't buy guns to keep as trophies. If you want an investment buy gold or silver, not guns.

Bejeebers, YES you got a great deal! I'm not a big pump fan (I like doubles) but I can appreciate any nice shotgun, and that's certainly one of them. Congratulations!

As dave0520 said downthread, take it out and shoot it. It's not a collector's item, but it's a fine shotgun. Go out and enjoy it.

Yes you got a very good deal indeed, but not quite as good as I got:) .

Here is the story. My buddy called in regards to a good deal on a Winchester 1300 20ga Ranger field grade pump action shotgun he just got in from another Wallyworld store that is discontinuing gun sales. Only down side is that the box is in real poor shape and the protective foam insert is all broken to heck. "Good deal" is a bit of an understatement in my opinion. Checkout the photos and you be the judge (Oh and of course I bought it)
