I found a NIB HK P7M8 with three mags selling for $995 and a ANIB one for $699. Help! Keep me and my credit card from the phone. Give me reasons NOT to buy one or the other.
If the $699 gun is really AS NEW IN BOX (and not refurbrished) I'd buy that one in a heartbeat! I couldn't afford the NIB one or that's that one I'd buy...
Well, since I'm a bankruptcy attorney and you said credit card, I'd have to say go for it instead of talking you down from the ledge. C'mon, you can always file for bankruptcy later, right? Good for us attys, too. [of course I'm kidding - sort of].
I'd buy a NEW Glock and 2 cases of ammo instead. But I guess you should get whaever tickles your pickle... and a $700.00 used gun does NOT tickle mine.
sorry guys,
Ben

If you don't buy the new one, please email with the dealer's phone #. I own a '95 with Meps that I carry and I want a brand new one.
I'd rather have a P7 than 6 Glocks. Maybe Glock will make a squeeze-cocker some day- look what they did with the tecnology poineered by HK in the areas of polymer frames and, 5 years later, mounting rails.
What is so great about these squeeze cocking P7's? Someone please sell me on why you would want to spend so much for one, then I will try to sell Buzz why he needs one. Right now $900 would be more than enough for my new Leupold scope. Heck I could get the scope and Mark4 rings and bases for it too!
I can't help you either. I am experiencing much the same problem (with another brand) and have about decided that since I can't afford more than one - I'm putting a vehicle up for sale.
<chants> Buy! Buy! Buy! Then head over to Guncraft and let me shoot it! <g>
Seriously, the LNIB is a great deal, but even the new one is not outrageously expensive. I would pick it up in a heartbeat. Just tell me where the place is after you buy the one you want, and I'll get the other. Anywhere around K-town, by any chance? I have not seen a P7M8 in a display case in years, they are scarcer than Democrats with integrity because whoever owns a P7 tends to keep it for life.
El Rojo asked, "what is so great about those squeeze-cocking P7's?
That's exactly the question I would have asked a month ago. Was at a gun show, picked up and 'sqeeze-cocked' the dealer's sample, pulled the trigger--pure magic. Maybe the crispest trigger available on any handgun, pistol or revolver. Just an amazing experience. I suddenly knew what the fuss was all about.
I have been wanting one so bad I could just spit!(etc)
There is no cure for "new gun-ittis" except to give in. Buy one, and preferably two, of everything that even remotely catches your fancy. It won't help, in fact it will just make matters worse, but hey, you'll have lots of fun on the way to the poorhouse.
