Tonight my dad told me he would buy me a new shot gun. I have been using his Remington 1100 and I do love the gun but he said he wants to buy me my own.
heres what I know I want
12 ga.
3 inch shells
and I have $1000 to spend
28 inch barrel
semi auto
Now what do you think I should look at
thanks for your help

An 1100. You like it. It's reliable, durable, parts are available like those O rings and smiths know how to work on them this side of the big pond.

I'd skip the browning Gold - don't like. Pick up a used Binnelli 3 1/2" or a berretta, Browning fusoin, A used Bennelli would be my first choice.

benelli Montefeltro

Well I just got back from the gun store and I looked at the benelli Montefeltro. Wow its nice. Its so lite and it looks so good.
I like it because I am left handed and it comes in a left handed model.
they have it for $929 new. Is this a good deal?
Also could anyone tell me about this gun and if they like it
thanks

I wouldn't buy til uou get a response or a trusted recomendation. It's always nice if you can shoot a gun similar to what you are looking to buy with the same loads you will be intending to use before you shuck out the bucks for a new one. I shot a couple of friends SBE's before I bought mine. I had a Browning Guld Hunter that I hated. It didn't pull up nice for me & I couldn.t hit squat with it. I have 2 friends that also could not hit with the gun. We should pattern the gun just to see what kind of pattern it is throwing.
I also have never been able to hit with an A5. The same A5 that others could hit anything with. 7/8 of how well a gun shoots for you is fit.
