There was a story in the newspaper last week or the week before about a football player ( I think it was football), I think his last name was Lane or something. Anyway, I guess his wife shot him to death in front of their baby or something like that? Did anyone hear about this story? What happened? Is she in jail? I looked in the paper and there has been nothing on this story, thought maybe someone here could fill me in on what happened. Thanks!

Thank you! I couldn't find it anywhere. The story still does not seem complete though. Doesn't it seem 'strange' she is not in jail on murder charges? If it was self defense they didn't bother to tell that side of the story either. Then again, it seems the media will only focus on the story if it is murder, not self defense.
They've had quite a bit about it here in NC.
I think the SBI is still investigating, but news interviews with their neighbors are somewhat interesting.
They're sayin' things like "I'm surprised she didn't kill him before now", or "He had it comin' to him".
So far it's bein' called "Justifiable".
IMHO, anyone who beats on his wife deserves the same fate.
