Depends on what purpose you want it for. Little large for HD(caliber wise--too much penetration and possible cause harm to unintended victims), but great caliber for target or hunting with. Good caliber for a woods gun for defense when hiking in bear country too. Nice thing is, in most .44 Magnums you can also shoot .44 specials so you could get two guns for the price of one. If you reload, you can load them down so they are easier on the recoil.
I'm personally looking for(waiting for) a Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag with a 4" in barrel.
As for the brand, I have no experience with them, but have not heard a lot in favor or against.
