I'm looking at a Tanfoglio in .32 ACP,,,
It's at The Evil Pawn Shop with two magazines.

I only got a quick look in the counter yesterday,,,
It's either stainless, chrome, or nickel,,,
It has lilac grips and mag bases.

The good thing is The Evil Pan Shop Guy,,,
Is only asking $139.00 for it.

It looks like an older Beretta,,,
It has the 70 series shape.

I think I'll go back on my lunch break,,,
Give the little gem a real look-see.

Why you might ask?

'cause I don't own anything in .32 ACP. ;)

No, this could easily be a gift gun,,,
I would need to shoot a hundred rounds or so,,,
But it is very pretty and I could make a nice holster for it.

My questions for you good folk are,,,
  • Do any of you have any experience with this gun?
  • Is there anything positive or negative that you can share with me?

Thanks in advance,,,

Is this a Tanfoglio GT32 aka EAA Titan II?

I've asked about them previously and didn't get much in the way of informed responses, although I was warned that they're low quality. Never bought the gun so I can't give you any personally-gleaned information about it.

Be aware that the controls are goofy.

There is no external slide stop; as with a Walther PP, the slide locks open on an empty mag, and may be manually run forward upon insertion of a loaded mag or removal of the empty mag.

The lever by the trigger guard is a trigger-locking thumb safety, and it is flipped backwards for FIRE, one of the few examples of a thumb-safety-equipped pistol in which turning the lever parallel with the direction of the bullet is NOT the FIRE position. (Also, like the similar but 180°-opposite Beretta 1934/1935, the motion to operate the safety lever is quite awkward.)

The lever on the slide is a SECOND thumb safety, a manual firing-pin lock; failure to set the lever in the FIRE position may lead to confusion as to why the pistol didn't go BANG! when the hammer fell, not the best circumstance with a defensive firearm. (I've argued in reference to the Mauser HSc, Walther PK380, and Star 28/30/31 that I don't find the ability to drop the hammer against the engaged safety to be advisable on a pistol intended for defensive use.)

All things considered, IMHO the Beretta Series 70 pistols are far superior, although I'll be the first to point out that they're generally nowhere near as cheap as these Tanfos are. :)

I would have experience with one if I knew where the Evil Pawn Shop was, and could get there before you!:D
But I'm a sucker for anything that goes bang for under a hundred and a half! From the pics, and video I found it looks like an interesting little pistol, and why not add another caliber for that little cost?

"...sucker for anything that goes bang for..." Your junk drawer full of stuff like that? snicker.
There will be a reason The Evil Pawn Shop is selling the thing so relatively cheap. Starting with the likelihood of it being a discontinued model you can't get parts or service should you ever need it.

No, but old guns I bought on the cheap, and was able to repair myself, find parts for, or have repaired at a reasonable cost into some fun shooters take up quite a bit of safe space. Kinda like a 3rd model S&W Safety Hammerless 32 S&W for twenty five bucks, and a ten dollar firing pin. A MAB GZ 25ACP for fifteen bucks because a shop told the previous owner they couldn't get a magazine to replace the missing one. A couple years, and thirty bucks later, I have a $45. 25ACP range toy that goes boom. Then there is a long list of milsurps bought on my C&R FFL starting with a $41 to my door MAS 36 that turned out to be a great shooter just like it came. Need I mention the 2 $89.99 Yugo SKS rifles. One of which I will admit resulted in a rare violation of rule #1 when I traded it for a $300 Marlin 336, scoped 30-30.:D

Well, I decided to pass on it,,,

Well, I decided to pass on it,,,
With the information you guys posted,,,
I found a manual for it on the stevespages website.

It was the two separate safeties that turned me off to it,,,
That and the fact it was single-action only.

So thanks for sharing your knowledge gentlemen,,,
This is why this forum is valuable to me.
