Im gettin a Smith and Wesson 500!!!

I recently posted about getting a 44mag and appreciated all the great responses. I have decided to change my mind after watching video of the S&W 500 " 50 cal". I said " Damn, i can handle that gun". You know - the male Testrone Crap!!! Ya baby. Any ways- sould get here in about 15-20 days. I will let ya all know what i think of the recoil when it arrives. I am a novice hand gunner- so this should be fun!!, Wish me luck. Ohh ya, if i bust my hand- and i dont resond, i think you will all understand why. Thanks again. Jeff

I thought really hard when I handled one in my local shop, the only one here for about 100 miles. VERY nice, just don't need it. I like my .44 plenty.

Dad picked his up today... haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Mom and I schemed together and bought it for him for Xmas (though a bit late... long story).

W/ 270 grain loads from the buddies I know who have one say its no worse than a hot 44 mag. We'll see... the 4" sure has a big enough muzzle brake on it (what we got).

Its not going to be a gun we take for plinking, have plenty of those... but a 500 should put a bear down in a hurry when back packing so thats why we got it.
