Mounting on a 308 Win Savage 110 FP. The goal is long-range coyote (100-500 yards) and good mid-range varminting (1-300 yards).

These are the scopes:

Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40 Mil-Dot w/ AO and Finger Adjustable Turrets
Super Sniper 16x42 Mil-Dot w/ AO and Finger Adjustable Turrets
Weaver Classic V 6-24x42 Duplex Dot w/ AO and Finger Adjustable Turrets
Leupold 20x Target Scope Fine Duplex w/ AO and Finger Adjustable Turrets

These are the narrowed choices, no more no less. Please don't consider anything else as you will get my mind going again. I will use one of these four, what is the best from them?

If it were me. . . .

I would buy the Leupold, it will be better suited at the range, and being a discontinued item is more of an investment then the others, like buying a classic car instead of brand new, If you really really want to do serious amounts of hunting you should probably get the Variable X Weaver, so you can change your feild of veiw for moving or colonies of critters. .. . .
Good Luck,

BTW Whatever you pick I'll help sight it in:cool:. .. .

Can't decide yet - which Leupold line is it from, and what objective lens size is it?

Also, why not the 20x super sniper? Same price as the 16, and same magnif as the Loopy there.

Explanation of Reasoning...

Okay, the 20x SS is out of the question on my opinion it is too big for what I want. The only reason the Leu is up on the list is because it is used and at a good price. I have a shot at it if I decide to go that route, but that is the only reason I'm considering. That and it is a Leupold...

In my eyes, I don't want anything past 18x. The Weaver is on there because it is in the price range and nobody says I have to crank that sucker all the way up to 24x if I don't want to. There you have it, those four, no more no less...

Thanks

I have a super sniper and it is a great scope. I believe it is the only scope listed with a 30mm tube. The only downside is that it has 1/4 MOA adjustments. You might consider picking a 1/8 MOA adjustment scope for long range.

Allright, I'll help a friend out. . . .

. . . Just because I am the reason why the Leupold is on the list, it is my choice, heres the skinny on the Leupold
This scope has a 40 mm objective, it is one inch tube and has a
fine crosshair reticle. The series was called Target series 20X.
This scope was made when Leupold had 20X, 24X, 36X target
scopes and I think it was actually called an M20X Target.
