I must have missed something. Did Springfield buy the rights to the HS2000? Does HS Arms still exist? Do they still sell the HS2000? If not, why is their website still up and advertisting the HS2000? If the HS2000 is no more, is the XD simply the same gun? Is it still made in Croatia?

I'm confused about the HS2000 and Springfield XD

I am not totally sure if I am correct but from what I have gathered Springfield Armory is the US importer of the HS2000.
HS Arms still makes and markets the HS2000 in and for other countries, just not the US.
Am I right fellas?

No Glockster, that's not quit correct. IM Metals in Croatia has always been, and still is, the sole manufacturer. Intrac was the US importer, and marketed the pistol under it's subsidiary, HS Arms. Springfield recently picked up the US import and distribution rights. For some reason, Intrac still claims to have the import rights, and HS Arms still claims that they have pistols on the way. Somebody's not telling the truth. Springfield has new pistols on dealer's shelves in both 9mm and .40, with the .357 due out by the end of the month. HS Arms have no new pistols whatsoever, and have only offered 9mm. Nuff said.
