Hate Crime: Woman Assaulted by Teen Girl Gang in Philadelphia

(Daily Mail) – An astonishing video has emerged of a vicious gang of teenage girls assaulting a female pedestrian as she walks outside a city hall in broad daylight.

The woman, who has not been named, was thrown to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked by the gang outside Philadelphia City Hall.

The four youngsters, who seemed to have absolutely no fear of arrest or reprisals, are seen sneaking up behind the woman before launching the brutal assault.

After the attack, during which nothing was taken, they are seen casually strolling away.

The woman, who has not been named, told Fox News the attack had been vicious and relentless.

She said: ‘Their primary concern seemed to be laughing and beating on me so it seems like teens all girl.

‘It seemed like they were on a roller coaster the way they were laughing.

‘When I was in the air was the part I remember the most was when they got their first punches in on my face.

‘I’ve never been punched like that.’

In recent years there have a spate of attacks in Philadelphia with teen mobs attacking members of the public for sport.

Just walking down the street in broad daylight in front of City Hall. I'll never need a gun.

Increasingly and without any provocation these kinds of attacks are being perpetrated upon entirely innocent people just going about their daily business. As I get older (in my 60's now) I realize that no amount of "avoidance behaviors" can guarantee safety. Yet daily there are small and large town news reports of people who have successfully used firearms to fend off home invasions and main street attacks by thugs bent on theft or just havoc. News reports that never get forwarded on beyond the small town news. News reports that could change the public perception on the needs for self-defense firearms.

Today, anyone who believes "I'll never need a gun." is just delusional.
 
Philli is an anti gun city where criminals have more rights than us, like all big cities with similar policies.

Some of these flash mob attacks happen very fast. In some cases getting access to your weapon would be almost impossible. Forget accuracy of asthetics, what handgun would be the fastest to deploy and most effective in a flash mob attack?
 
That's why I carry flash mob spray. Pepper spray, tear gas and red dye, to get them later.

Then it's the stun gun, after that, don't ask.

At least this way there is no blood on the streets from CHL people shooting everyone. See the anti gunners were right.

Exactly. Find me one thug on the south side of chicago (no offense to south siders, but most of the shooting happen there) that has his FOID card and Chicago gun permit.

I'm not a crazy gun activist, but it is very dissappointing that no one thinks. The criminals just laugh.

Flash mobs dance and sing or whatever...these are CRIMINAL mobs plain and simple, and it will continue to grow as a fad until a few are gunned down for terrorizing people. Then it won't seem like so much "fun" to them!:mad:
 
I have heard this happening on a regular basis in , oh what a surprise, England. Afterall, with the general public not being allowed to defend themselves in any manner with threat of arrest, these gangs have little to worry about.

I could not have stated this any better or more accurately.

The world is becoming more violent every day and with the advent of social media, flash mobs pop up out of nowhere. In my opinion, it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better because of so many influences fueled by the economy, breakdowns in the family unit, and I'm sure each of us could add many more reasons.

What really concerns me is that in the very near future, one of these gangs of punks is going to pick on the wrong person and there are going to be dead teenagers lying on the sidewalk. How many of you remember the Bernard Getz incident? And people are going to come out of the woodwork telling the world that these are good kids just having some fun. We can only hope than when it happens, there is a security camera catching the action as an armed citizen fights for his own life.

Several years ago, a carload of teenagers tried to attack my wife and I while we were stopped at a traffic light. As luck would have it, (for them and for me) we were returning from a flight and as such, I was not armed. Stupid kids picked on the wrong guy. I'm 6' 2" and 235 lbs. At the time, I worked for an anti-terrorism unit and routinely trained to fight off 7 attackers at the same time. To make a long story short, those that were still upright dragged their broken and bleeding buddies back into their car and speed off. Neither my wife nor I were injured. This story might have had a different outcome had I been armed. Today, I go nowhere without a gun. As opposed as I am to leaving a gun in the car, I do when I am forced to. If that incident were to happen today, my gun would have been the one exercised instead of my muscles.

I understand where you are coming from but I don't think you are looking at it from the right perspective. This violent crime is happening to people walking down the street in broad daylight. I don't think everyone who does this (beating peole) deserves to die, but I'll bet if a couple of peole get shot for doing it, then it will become a much less popular hobby; kind of like car-jacking.
 
Buzzcook, how do you know one of those kicks to the head or punches to the nose won't cause death to the victim? Shooting an attacker is not automatically delivery of the "death penalty" in itself. It is used to STOP the attack. The one shot may die or may not. Just like the victim being brutally beaten may or may not die.

We all have the right to defend ourselves and shouldn't be subjected to this kind of brutal violence without the opportunity to defend oneself.

Let me ask you, if you were the one being brutally beaten for no reason other than you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, would you want to be able to defend yourself and stop the attack or are you ok with just taking the beating? What if it was your wife, daughter, son, mother or father being brutally beaten?

Your absolutely right, you have no right to life and no right to self-defense we should just surrender to the thugs and criminals and get our just rewards for being moral and literal cowards.

I love the peace and we just all hold hands and sing together crowd. The same people who have never been in where in the world, never been there, never lived there and have no idea of the reality of violence. Never listened to a mother or a father wail and scream all night over some predatory act, the absolute agony in the voice for hours without end.

The strong will always prey on the weak and if your not prepared to do something about it then thats up to you but dont try to convince the rest of us that we need to be sheep to to live up to some unrealistic utopian view that has no chance of ever in any time period past, present or future of coming true.

We have bad people in this world and they dont care about peace or love or your good intentions, only how fast they can assist you to the grave for being unwilling or unable to stand for yourself and how fast they can perform horrible acts on your loved ones while they steal your property and your life...

This is going to sound strange, but these mobs actually help the concealed carry effort in Illinois. Tourism is HUGE in CHicago, and when people begin to stay away for fear of these mobs, the politicians will be hit in their most vulnerable place - the pocketbook. When campaign contributors like businesses complain of falling revenues due to lack of customers, the pols will start to look at alternatives.
When enough people say "I don't go downtown anymore, its not safe" then things will begin to move in te right direction.

I'm 6'2", 230lbs myself, but I wont bring my children to Chicago unless its just to a museum or sporting event. Even then, while I don't carry a gun, I do have a knife with me. I'm not delusional to think I can beat off a mob of seven thugs, but I can protect my kids and severely injure at least one thug enough to make his friends think about it.
 
If you see four thugs beating and kicking a woman, I'd say it appears she is exactly the person who needs a gun, or help from someone who has one ...
