I've visited this area of the forum several times and have never seen any threads on IHMSA shooting. I wonder if anyone here shoots this disipline. I was a member in the late 80's for one year and never got to go to a meet. ( married with children) Now my son will be 15 this year and is a very good handgun shot and I was wanting us both to join and spot for each other.

Any response from someone who competes would be great as I have a couple of questions. Thank you.

1. We will be shooting production class. Can I still get a triger job and can I modify the factory sights? I have already got the stuff to inlay a strand of gold wire verticaly down the front sight and one refference horizontal wire about 1/8" down from the top.

2. With sighter rounds and course rounds, how many do you bring?

I think I can get the rest of the info from their site but wanted someone who shoots this dicipline to give me their take on it.
