If you're considering buying a used revolver....

Or even a new revolver, for that matter, you'll want to check out Jim March's essay on how to make an informed purchase based on a series of quick and easy inspections.

Jim wrote this a year or two ago, and it's been bumped to the top a number of times as people ask about what they should look for.

So, because it's such a valuable resource, you can now find it on TFL's Library Page.

Simply click the "Library" link and scroll to the bottom.

Even if you've bought many used revolvers in the past (I have) it's a good read, as it might jog your memory.

If you're buying your first used revolver, print it out and take it with you.

Very applicable to new revolvers also.

For some, well worth printin and carrying along to the dealer or show etc.

Many thanks to Mike for gettin the ball rolling and getting Jim's dissertation placed in the TFL library.

I've had that post bookmarked for a long time, I guess no further need for that.

Thanks for making it more prominent, and I suppose we can say thanks to Jim yet one more time.

But maybe he can yet best that post by writing a "how to shoot a used or new revolver well" post...:D

(I'm only half kidding though)

Heh. I'm not a qualified shooting instructor. In fact, I'm entirely self taught, and since early '99 I haven't been carrying, therefore I haven't been practicing much.

Anyways. Thank ya Mike, for getting it organized. There may be another surprise in store for that thread :).
