If you have a GP100 in .44Spl, I need your help:

I should have known. I never learn.

All the signs were there.

So, knowing better, I watched not one, not two but three videos about the GP100 .44Spl. Now the unscratchable itch needs to be heard.

So, I'd ask anyone with one of these beauties if they'd be willing to take some measurements for me?

I'm referring to the 3" model. I'd like to know:
  • The horizontal length from muzzle to hammer spur.
  • Muzzle to butt. (Perpendicular to the top-strap).
  • Butt to the top strap.
  • And finally the cylinder diameter.

I am very curious as to how it compares to my current wheel guns.

Would you mind?
THANKS!!

James,

1. 6 3/16"

2. 8 1/8"

3. 5"

4. 1 5/8"

But, I do have the bantam wood and rubber GP100 grips on mine. It seems to balance the 3 " barrel much better than the larger Hogue rubber grips.

Well, apart from a barrel that is an inch longer and a cylinder 1/4” wider, the GP100 is almost the same size and my K-framed Astra!

I didn’t expect that!

Yeah, weight, but I've wandered the woods with a redhawk on my hip and that is pretty comfy.

And weight I can get off the Ruger page: the other measurements I could not.
