If You Had to Pick One...

I have a Ruger Security Six 4" Stainless Steel (excellent condition) on lay-away. I am considering selling one of my firearms to make space for the new revolver and partially finance the purchase... The two guns I could sell are: 1) Ruger P95PR or 2) Smith and Wesson Model 10 HB 4". I would like your opinions... Which one would you sell if a decision had to be made?

Cut out eating at restaurants for a while.

Bring a sack lunch.

Try to consolidate your driving so you make several stops you normally make in more than one trip.

Skip buying snacks at the local convenience shop.

Do that and you will be able to KEEP your other guns and buy the Security Six.

Keep 'em all, you'll regret selling either one. I had a Ruger P-90 that I sold to partially finance a Kimber Pro CDP II and while the Kimber is definitely the better gun for carrying and I can shoot it better than the Ruger, I still miss the Ruger. Wish I'd kept that gun.

Make the sacrifices necessary to accomodate the new gun (fine choice, I might add) without selling anything. "Never sell 'em, accumulate 'em" is my motto. The few I've sold/swapped have been missed...one of them a Ruger P95.

That said, the Ruger P95 would be the easiest to replace down the road.

Pistolgrip is comitted. He will eat Rifle soup and Shotgun Souffle before he hocks any guns! I love it , and heartily agree. At least right now when I am not hungry.

I agree Keep them ALL , you will regret it some day I sure do . At one time when I was younger I had ( HAD ) a bunch of guns . I sold or pawned all most all of them . Why you ask ? Cus I needed beer or weed or some other thing that would not last . Yep I was young Dumb and , well you know the rest . I am still so bummed . I still have holsters , mags , grips and other accessories For all of those guns I no longer have . grrrrr

There's lots of other ways to finance a gun purchase than selling another one. I like to take items my wife purchased and never used back to the store and get $$ or just sell it on Ebay.

Thanks for all the words of advice. I agree, it would be a sin to sell either one of these fine firearms. I have started a diet ... LOL You have convinced me. The discussion brought me bad memories of a Smith and Wesson Model 19 I regretted selling ...

I will post photos of the security six next week.

Just hope and pray the Lib's don't come marching in our houses,
taking our "precious" gun collections that we have invested in and enjoy.
Ever thought how you might react? I have.
