If You Had to Arm an Entire Special Force

If you were tasked with equipping a elite Special Force, similar to the Navy SEAL's, with weaponry from scratch, what would you do?

Here are the things you, as the new armorer, must pick:
Name of Special Force (Optional, Feel free to get narcissistic.)
Primary Assault Rifle and/or SMG
Shotguns
Pistols
Sniper Rifles/Battle Rifles
Ammunition for all of the above
Firearm Accessories

Here's mine.

Name: SCARF(Special Combat And Recon Force, members are referred to as Scarvers.)

Assault Rifles/SMGs- HK416 14.5", 55 grain FMJ ammo, Blackhawk AR-15 foregrip, Magpul PRS Stock, Blackhawk full length rail covers on sides, half cover on bottom rail, Surefire Micro 5.56 suppressor if needed, Surefire X300. SMG of choice would be MP5A4 with JHP 147 grain +P, Burris FastFire Reflex Sight, B&T suppressor, and surefire forend when necessary.

Shotgun: Remington 870 Marine Magnum, pistol grip collapsible stock, Burris FastFire, Surefire laser on side of reciever, flip up rear sight, front fiber-optic sight. 00 Buckshot

Pistols: HK USP Tactical and MK23, whatever is prefered by the individual soldier, 230 grain JHP +P, proprietary LAM unit, and KAC suppressors.

Sniper Rifles: Remington model 700 .308, Schmidt and Bender 6X Scope, 165 grain FMJ ammo, Blackhawk Bipod and two point sling, Gemtech HVT Suppressor

Battle Rifles: Either SCAR 17s or HK417, either way, HVT suppressor, 165 grain JHP, Blackhawk Bipod and two point sling, and 4X ACOG.

So, what's yours?

I didn't say the point was to arm the SEAL's, but a force similar.

Just trying to have a little fun, why spoil it?

I'll throw a couple of weapons in the mix:

Handgun: Colt Delta Elite 10mm

With the .45 ACP making a comeback for SpecOps, why not go 10mm? I know it has more recoil, but for Special Forces that shouldn't be a big deal. Don't know how it'd do in adverse conditions; but I"m only seeing upside here.

Shotgun: Kel-Tec KSG

Haven't seen a torture test of the KSG yet, but its hard to argue against 15 round capacity in a 26 inch package.

That would be the easiest job in the world.....

Seeing how they have more expertise in this area that I would....I'd just ask those fellows what they need. :D

Just for fun? I'll play. It wouldn't be really an official team because we are the people and not the military, so my take is from a private group perspective.

MOO. (Militia of One.)
BRICK. A group of two, three or more of like minded individuals.
Primary: AR15 or M1A.
Rem 870.
Colt 45's or any service sized pistols of good make and rep.
M1A or AR15 also serves sniper rifle role, if equipped accordingly.
Ammo would be military surplus, or equivalent handloads.
Accessories are quick detach scopes, ACOGs, and enough Mags for a load-out. (210 rounds/7 Mags)

My personal feeling are 3 223's for every 308, for security and supressive fire, which will allow the guys with 308s time to work. The SG is optional and probably unneeded for most if not all of the potential tasks to be done, but may indeed come in useful at times.

10/22, nobody would take them serious, "its just a 22"
I happen to know of one unit that has used them in the past.

The requirements of a "special force" vary by mission and present situation, and the loadout will vary as such.

I know a gentleman who was a crew chief in a "material" recovery unit about 40 sumthin years ago that carried a suppressed Ruger and through some creative paperwork and high placed favors brought it home.

Yes it is legal.

It is also marked as property of two different governments:eek:

No, he won't sell it, I tried several times.........

Back in the day, an AK 47 was put together with en bloc milled pieces. It was so much more than the sheet metal LGS specimens of today. I think it even served as a section gun for gomer outfits armed with the SKS. I can definitely see an operator with one of those, sans tracers. But no, it's not the same piece that the mall rats carry. What we see is the pale sister.

Now this one I like. ;)

AK 47s for most things as they never ever jam and are like so powerful.
And Deagles for pistols.

Totally! Then, when you get to, like, the fourteenth level, and the sorcerer threatens to take your magic beads, you can reload the 40mm grenade launcher by eating the glowing ball, and, like . . .
