If you could actually buy 1 box of handgun ammo...

Knob Creek down the road has plenty of ammo on their shelves. Just depends how much you wanna pay.

Actually I was pretty impressed with the S&B 9mm they gave me. Hotter than WWB, all gold colored :p and shot fine in my Kahr. Same price as WWB at WalMart.

my local gun store has plenty of ammo, it's a little pricier than Wal-Mart, but I still picked up an extra 50rds of Blazer 9mm for $15 to go with my new Beretta 92FS.

I bought primers (20,000) and powder (24 lbx of Unique, 24 lbs of W231) and somewhere in the area of 15,000 bullets of various size in November. Maybe I'm part of the problem but I knew the prices were going to go through the roof.
They did.

I suppose it would be a box of .38 ammo. Then I could save the cases and it could be used in 3 of my guns instead of just one, (.357) and you can use it over and over without chasing the empties.

Assuming it is the very last box I will ever be able to 'buy'....

because of conditions that can't be mentioned on this forum. I'd probably go with 357mag in 158gr... Even though I've got pistol / rifle combos in everything from 22lr to 45acp... I think that one would be the best for 'wilderness life'.... at least till 'I harvested' some more.

I'd have to go with .45 colt. I've always favored it, have a few revolvers for it and a nice levergun. Too bad replacement ammo would be scarce if you are scavaging.

Saw some .32 on the shelf at one store last week. Didn't like the rpice. Drove 15 minutes and bought it someplace else. Had a choice between two manufacturers

I don't need to choose which one I'd buy...if I want 32 I buy it if I want 9 I buy it if I want 45 I buy it, if I want 22 I buy it...hell, Bass had .36 lead ball for my revolver, too, on saturday. I just didn't like the price

I would love a box of Blazer Brass or WWB 9mm 115gr FMJ. I gotta break in my AR-24! My 9mm pile is down to 250rds (bought 1K in October-- I shoot .22lr pistol a lot, then a mag or two of 9mm).

Please, sir! I want some more!

I heard the federal government put a halt on handgun ammo imports, so the national companies can't keep up with demand, but I don't know if that's just code for the industry as a whole is squeezing pennies in these economic times, partly by letting supply slip as demand increases.

I can find quality hollow points maybe once a week for most calibers, 38, 357, and 45 being a little more rare. I heard someone else say 9mm was hard to find in Colorado, they must not have looked too hard.

The last box of ammo I bought...

last weekend, 9mm 124gr FMJ American Eagle. $13. They had six, but I only
wanted one. Have plenty of 9mm ammo at home, just wanted some to go with the Luger I bought, for the trip home.:D

The lady at the next table had the exact same ammo for $19!

Before that? 2 boxes of .45 Win Mag (20rnd) 265gr JHP, for $20 ea.
