I think I can finally put to words what I witnessed yesterday without foul language and threats of imminent harm to some BATF agents...
I stopped in at my local gunshop and it so happened that he was in the middle of his compliance check. Two BATF(Jack Booted Thugs) agents where doing this inspection. One was checking his firearm log book with the guns on the rack in the store. Normal procedure. What caught my attention was the smuck behind the counter flipping through yellow forms. I see this as standard procedure for these guys, but what I didn't see as standard was the yellow legal pad having peoples names, addresses, weapon type, and number of weapons purchased. I went to the counter to pay for a new cleaning rod and inquired very low if what he was doing was what it looked like. He said yes that for the past several years they have gone through yellow forms and written down anyones name who purchased any type of semi-auto rifle or riot type shotgun.
As the numbers where read off the guns and the other JBT made sure numbers matched up he decided to tell the owner that it was know illegal to sell riot shotguns or semi-auto rifles to anyone under the age of 21.
I think it is time to let our displeasure show, I'm going to write my senators and let them know what I witnessed and I am going to call BATF and complain long and loud.

How far away are we my friends from a raid like we witnessed at Waco and again at Miami this past weekend because we simply own guns.
You might wish to ask your dealer if BATF is writing down names from their yellow forms to.
Here is my latest letter, will this ever stop?

Senators,
I am writing today to lodge a compliant against the BATF for what I witnessed them doing in a local gunstore yesterday afternoon.
One of the compliance officers was stating that under current laws the dealer was no longer allowed to sell certain long guns to anyone under 21 years of age. Since the 1968 Gun control act the 21year age requirement has been enforced on handgun purchases. I can find no reference to any passed law regulating such weapons. One is in committee in the house at the present time.
What I witnessed next was even more disturbing to me, an agent was observed writing down the names, addresses, phone numbers, and gun information off the yellow forms. It is my understanding that with passage of the Brady Law and the NICS check no records where to be kept of any type of firearm transaction by the BATF. These where and are supposed to be dealer items only, unless a license holder gives up his or her license. What I witnessed yesterday was not compliance officers doing their job, what I witnessed was compliance officers registering firearms of unsuspecting citizens.
As a citizen of this country I ask you to investigate this transgression, I ask you to work towards disbanding this run away group of government employees. Senator Orrin Hatch was more than correct when he first called BATF, "Jack Booted Thugs" The organization works through fear, the dealer fears for his livelyhood and BATF exploits that in order to infringe upon the citizens of this country.
Senators I await your reply to my request.
